Pilots need to fly at least once every 90 days to maintain active status. This
ensures our community remains engaged and active.
Yes, we understand that real life comes first. You can request leave through our
crew portal, and your active status will be maintained during approved leave
periods.
While we encourage online flying for a more realistic experience, it's not
mandatory. You can fly offline and still log your flights through our system.
You must be at least 16 years old to join FlyBus Virtual Airlines. We welcome
pilots of all ages above this minimum requirement.
Yes! You have complete freedom to choose from our extensive route network.
Select flights that match your preferences, aircraft type, and schedule.
No, you have flexibility. While scheduled times are provided for reference, you
can fly routes at times that suit your schedule.
Yes, you can be a member of multiple virtual airlines. We don't restrict
membership to other VAs.
Returning members may be eligible for rank and hours restoration depending on
their previous activity and time away. Contact our staff for more information.
We primarily support PC-based flight simulators. While some pilots use MacOS
with compatibility layers, Xbox and console platforms are not officially
supported.
ACARS is our flight tracking system that automatically logs your flights and
tracks your progress within FlyBus Virtual Airlines.
ACARS connects via a plugin or application that interfaces with your flight
simulator. Detailed setup instructions are available in our documentation.
ACARS supports Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, X-Plane, and Prepar3D. Check
our documentation for the latest supported versions.
If your flight wasn't tracked, you can manually submit a PIREP through the crew
portal. Make sure ACARS is properly configured and running before your next
flight.
Simply click on "Join Us" in the navigation menu and complete the registration
form. Once approved, you'll receive access to our crew portal and can start
flying!
