Scheduled Operations Information

London Southend Airport (IATA: SEN, ICAO: EGMC) is an international airport located in Rochford, Essex, England, approximately 36 miles (58 km) from Central London. The airport serves as FlyBus Virtual Airlines' primary operational hub and has been the cornerstone of our scheduled operations since 2020.

Originally opened in 1935 as a municipal airport, Southend has undergone significant development over the years. The airport features a single runway (05/23) measuring 1,856 meters (6,089 ft) in length, capable of handling aircraft up to the size of Boeing 757s and Airbus A321s. The modern terminal building, opened in 2012, provides excellent facilities for passengers and crew.

As FlyBus's main base, London Southend offers strategic advantages for short-haul and medium-haul scheduled operations across Europe. The airport's location provides excellent connectivity to major European destinations while maintaining efficient turnaround times. Our scheduled operations at Southend focus on modern narrow-body aircraft, primarily the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 series.

The airport's proximity to London and excellent transport links make it an ideal hub for both business and leisure travelers. FlyBus continues to expand its scheduled network from Southend, connecting passengers to over 89 destinations across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
